Belleville Philharmonic Society
Symphony Orchestra - 116 N. Jackson, Belleville, Illinois 62220, 618/235-5600.
Opportunities include philharmonic orchestra, junior orchestra, wind ensemble,
and chamber orchestra. Since 1867, they have been providing community
arts enrichment opportunities through locally-held concerts. See
web site or call for ticket information, audition information, and performance
locations.
The Belleville Philharmonic Society has these opportunities for anyone who is interested in performing in an orchestra or singing.
- In the summer there is intergenerational orchestra that meets on Monday afternoons. It is open to young players of all ages. Rehearsals are Mondays from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in Philharmonic Hall 116 N. Jackson in Belleville. Please visit the web page for more information and to obtain an audition form.
- Belleville Philharmonic Chorale meets on Mondays from 7:45 to 9:30 starting on the Monday after Labor Day. High School age students are eligible to sing. Call Robert Howard for more information or to arrange an audition appointment.
- The second year of Summer Sings will be on the nights of July 14th and 21st. These are one night events that consist of: rehearsal of a major work, a break for refreshments and social interaction followed by a complete run through of the scheduled work.
